The Livingstone daisy (Mesembryanthemum criniflorum) is a low succulent plant with brilliant, daisy-like flowers in very vivid colours. The flowers, in shades of pink, orange, yellow and white, open wide in the sun and have a crystalline sheen. The plant is very drought-resistant, ideal for rockeries, walls and sunny containers. It covers the ground quickly, forming colourful carpets. The Livingstone daisy is a spectacular flower for dry, sun-drenched spots.
