Korean mint (Agastache rugosa), also known as anise hyssop, is an aromatic perennial of the Lamiaceae family. Its leaves have a sweet aniseed-and-mint aroma, used in teas and in Korean cooking. The plant produces violet flower spikes, highly attractive to bees and butterflies, and is decorative too. It prefers sun and well-drained soils, and is hardy and easy to grow. It is valued as an aromatic plant as well as a nectar and ornamental plant.
