Sowing
8–10 weeks before last frost, in individual pots at a constant minimum of 23–24°C. Germination takes 10–15 days. Do not sow in cold conditions — peppers germinate poorly below 20°C.
Transplanting
After last frost, when night temperatures consistently stay above 10°C and the soil is warm. Bury the stem up to the first leaves for a stronger root system. Avoid transplanting in extreme heat.
Growing
Full sun essential. Humus-rich, well-drained soil, pH 6–6.5. Stake plants from 30 cm height. Pinch the growing tip at 5–6 leaves for better branching. Resistant to the main viral diseases.
Harvest
70–80 days after transplanting. Harvest regularly while green to stimulate continuous production, or wait for full red colour for maximum flavour and sweetness. Do not pull fruits — cut with scissors.
Spacing
40 cm between plants · 60 cm between rows
