Lemon tree

The potted lemon tree bears fragrant flowers and decorative fruit that perfume the terrace; overwinter it under shelter.

• Winter care: tolerates brief frosts to −3 °C, but roots are exposed in a pot — overwinter in a bright, cool place (5–10 °C)

• Watering: let the surface of the compost dry between waterings; in a pot in summer it needs regular watering. Never leave water in the saucer.
