Description

Fleurs comestibles is a flower seed mixture from the EconSeeds catalogue (Graines Bertrand brand), from the Les Esthétiques range – annual ornamental flowering. A happy blend of edible flowers and aromatic herbs, 100% from organic farming. Mainly used to decorate plates, these flowers are also valued for lifting summer salads thanks to their brightly coloured petals and surprising taste — such as borage, with its briny note, or nasturtium, with its spicy, peppery flavour.

Composition

Dill, Borage, Basil, Dwarf nasturtium, Cornflower 'Blue Boy', Cosmos 'Sensation' and 'Bright Lights', Common mallow, French marigold, Pot marigold, Dwarf sunflower.

Sowing method

Prepare the ground as for a lawn: remove weeds including roots, loosen the soil to about 10 cm and level it. Mix the seed with fine sand for even distribution, broadcast it, firm lightly and water with a fine spray. Do not bury the seed deeply.

Maintenance

Water until emergence and weed as needed. At the end of the cycle, mow the mixture and prepare the ground for the following year.
