Its fragrant little leaves are used to season meat, soups, sauces and charcuterie. The plant is sensitive to cold and prefers warmth, sun and well-drained soils. It has digestive and calming properties and can also be used for aromatic teas. Marjoram is a classic seasoning in Romanian and Mediterranean cooking.
